Privacy
What this site collects, and why.
Who we are.
Technologies Kova inc., Laval, Québec. Privacy officer: Belkacem Ilyes Gasmi, hello@kova3d.com.
What we don’t do.
No cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising tools.
Contacting us.
“Email us” drafts an email in your own mail app. We receive nothing you write until you send it. If you do, we receive what you wrote and, if you tried the demo, the link to your build.
“Book a call” opens our booking page at Cal.com, Inc., with the link to your build added if you tried the demo. The booking is handled by Cal.com under its own privacy policy and may be processed outside Québec.
The live 3D demos.
The picture is rendered on our servers and reaches you as video. To set up that connection, our servers receive your IP address and network connection details; the connection may go through Cloudflare relay servers. On the home page, the demo connects to our servers as soon as it is visible and starts when you click. With your browser’s data saver on, it connects only when you click. The connection closes ten seconds after the demo leaves the screen or you switch tabs.
The demos keep one flag in your browser (sessionStorage kova-demo-hint) so the hint isn’t shown again; it is cleared when you close the tab.
Hosting.
This site and our demos run through Cloudflare, Inc., which processes your IP address to deliver the pages and the video. On its own error or protection pages, Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. Cloudflare may process this information outside Québec.
What we keep, and why.
The emails you send us, to reply to you and prepare the call. We delete them 24 months after our last exchange.
The demos’ session records, for troubleshooting: browser type, demo window size and connection statistics. We delete them after 7 days.
The demos’ technical logs, for troubleshooting: your truncated IP address. We keep them for at most 30 days.
Usage statistics.
When you view a product in 3D, we record anonymous usage events. They contain:
- the date and time;
- the website the viewer is embedded on (its main address only, never the page);
- the device type (mobile, tablet or desktop) and the language;
- the options and views you chose;
- the parts you hovered over, clicked or zoomed in on (by part name, never a position);
- the number of rotations, the final configuration and how long you viewed the product.
These events contain no IP address, no cookie and no identifier that could recognise you from one visit to the next. We keep them for 30 days, then delete them. Aggregated daily statistics, which identify no one, may be kept longer to produce monthly reports.
On this site we also keep daily counters: page views, 3D demos started, option changes, clicks on “Book a call” and “Email us”, and language switches. On a preview page we prepared for a company, we also count how often it’s opened and measure how long it stays on screen. The content of the signal your browser sends is limited to the event name, the page URL and, on a preview page, that duration. Like any request, it passes through Cloudflare (see “Hosting”), but we keep only daily totals, with no IP address, browser type or identifier.
We share only aggregated statistics (number of views, devices, most popular configurations and parts) with the company whose product you viewed, so it can see what its customers look at.
